"Ensuring that our patients are relaxed and comfortable with their treatment plan is very important to us," Dr. Ray says. "Therefore, patient education is an important part of our treatment process here."
Dr. Ray wants you to understand what your oral condition is, along with the appropriate treatment alternatives that apply to you. "There are usually several solutions to a dental problem," he says. "We explain them to you and answer any questions you may have. The final treatment decision is yours. After all, it's your mouth and your smile.
"Because I have specialized training (a Master's of Science in Prosthodontics) beyond the usual Doctor of Dentistry degree held by most dentists, I'm able to offer a wider variety of treatment options that most of my colleagues. I have extensive experience and training with implants and reconstructive dentistry. I work every day with complex combinations of crowns and implants, removable appliances, and how they can interact with each other...we tailor your treatment options to your specific oral needs."
"What makes a big difference is that Dr. Ray spends considerable quality time with his patients," says Office Manager Lauri Fitzagerald. "I haven't seen that happen in other practices. People who come to us say, 'I'm a person...I'm important because you're taking the time to answer all my questions, telling me what I need to do....' you can't put a price on the Dr. Ray's personal touch with his patients."
